Chung Hwa Kindergarten Likas has left no stones unturned by becoming one of the nation's largest and most equipped kindergartens around. Its impressive development is mainly attributed to the profound vision of its sponsor - the Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Compliments also go to the management and staff of the kindergarten for their commitment and perseverance - backed by financial and moral support of the general public.

Chung Hwa Kindergarten Likas was the first to open its Child Care Centre and conduct Full Day Classes in 1989. In line with the latest National Pre-school Curriculum, Chung Hwa Kindergarten Likas has taken steps to improve and strengthen the proficiency level of its teaching staff so that they can confidently perform better in their teaching.

Chung Hwa Kindergarten Likas has consistently kept pace with the rising standards of living and changing life style, which have very much influence how parents view the importance of education for their young ones.
