
Day 1
An early morning drive northward, traversing the Crocker Range with
panoromic views of the surrounding countryside. A brief stop at a
native market and onto the Park for check-in. This nature-lover's
retreat is home to a wide range of unspoilt flora and fauna. Visit
the Exhibit Centre and Mountain Garden to learn about some of
Mother Nature's miracles, or explore the many graded trails. Overnight
at the Park Headquarters

Day 2
After breakfast, proceed to register for the climb up to the summit. Transfer
to Timpohon Gate
(photo size: 59KB) to begin the climb.
No special mountaineering skills are
required but a certain level of physical fitness is essential. A tough
hike through the changing forest scene will end at
Laban Rata
(photo size: 39KB) for the night.
Overnight accommodation is in dormitories.
Day 3
| Recommended items to bring for the climb: | Sturdy walking shoes, rain gear, hat, sun block, warm clothing, a change of clothes, cotton gloves, torchlight and bottle for drinking water. |
| Weather: | In the mountainous region the weather can change without warning from bright sunshine to mist and cloud to torrential downpour. The nights are cold and temperatures can drop to below freezing. Bring enough warm clothing with you and pack them in plastic bags to keep them dry. |
| Note: | Persons with high blood pressure, diabetes and weak hearts are advised not to attempt the climb. |
